A fifth Kenya Airways (KQ) flight is set to evacuate Kenyans stranded in the UK amid the Covid-19 pandemic at their own cost.
The special flight will depart London’s Heathrow Airport next Friday, according to Kenyan High Commissioner to the UK Manoah Esipisu.
The KQ103 commercial plane will leave London at 11 am on Friday and land at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) in Nairobi at 9:35 pm local time.
KQ said Kenyans seeking to travel in this flight must take a Covid-19 test, which should be within seven days of departure.
All the returnees will also be required to undergo a mandatory quarantine for a period of between 14 and 28 days upon arrival in Kenya.
Those wishing to fly back home have been asked to send a copy of their booking details, a Covid-19 free certificate from the testing center, and Signed Quarantine Declaration form by July 15th.
They will also be required to produce the Covid-19 free certificate and the quarantine declaration form on arrival in Nairobi.
