A Dubai-based Kenyan banker has offered to work for Deputy President William Ruto for free. Through Twitter, Hellen Njeri pledged to return to Kenya in 2022 and sacrifice to work as Ruto’s election agent without pay.
“2022 I will come back to Kenya and I will sacrifice to be (@WilliamsRuto)’s agent for Free. That’s how much I love this Man,” Njeri stated.
Ruto responded to Njeri’s tweet moments later, thanking her for the support. “Shukrani saaaaana my friend,” Ruto replied.
Njeri, who works at the Islamic Bank of Dubai, is a staunch supporter of Ruto and his ideologies. She sells his agenda through Twitter where she enjoys a following of 13,000.
Ruto, who is determined to succeed President Kenyatta in 2022, has been reaching out to Kenyans in the diaspora ahead of next year’s elections.
On Friday, the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party will open a liaison office in Seattle, Washington. The office will be located on 1648 310th Street, Federal Way, Washington 98003 and will be headed by Kiairie Prestige, a Kenyan who owns a vernacular station in the US.
Ruto is expected to address a group of Kenyans in the US virtually during the launching ceremony.
Ruto wants to recruit Kenyans in the diaspora to UDA to help in drafting an economic blueprint to be put in his manifesto as well as fundraise for his 2022 presidential campaigns.
In April, Ruto held a virtual meeting with Kenyans in the US, Australia, South Africa, and the Middle East, where he laid down his plan for them.
