Nairobi Man Gets Robbed As He Lays Down Dying after Collapsing

Police had a hard time identifying a man who collapsed and died at Roysambu footbridge on Thika Road.

The man was reportedly robbed of his personal property including identification documents after he fainted.

Eyewitnesses said the deceased was walking before he slowly sat on the pavement and then collapsed.

“I saw him coming. He was eating some biscuits and then he sat down. We thought he was drunk because he was walking slowly. He then sat down and collapsed which drew us closer as we tried to help.”

“Some of my friends thought he was epileptic and so we started giving him first aid until the police came and told us he was dead,” Amos Kibere, a matatu tout at Roysambu bridge told People Daily.

Police officers from the nearby Kasarani regional base pronounced the man dead shortly after they arrived.

“The man is dead but we cannot tell what killed him, the biggest challenge is identifying him because he has already been robbed,” said one of the officers.

Attempts to identify the deceased and inform his family was complicated by the absence of any document or personal item as they were all stolen after he collapsed.

However, the police managed to recover his phone from one of the bystanders and will aid in the tracing of his relatives.

  1. Problem with Kenyans is that…
Problem with Kenyans is that they are preoccupied with stealing. They rob accident victims.

    • My Kenyan friend was in Cabo…
My Kenyan friend was in Cabo San Lucas Mexico on vacation a few years ago. He was walking down one of the busy streets in town where he witnessed an automobile hit and run on a random pedestrian. A small crowd gathered around the victim who instead of helping, emptied his pockets first. Why do we often try to insinuate that theft is unique only to Kenya?

      • So to you if mexicans do it…
So to you if mexicans do it it’s ok for kenyans to do it? I have two things to say to you.
        – Those are mexicans. We are better than them.
        – We are kenyans and we are better than that. Our forefathers did did not die fighting so we can be stealing from our dying fellow kenyans.

  3. Fellow Kenyans, have you…
Fellow Kenyans, have you ever wondered why we are beset with so many problems, why life is just unpleasant in Kenya? So, a man is weak and dying and the best you can do for him is to steal whatever little he has! Those stealing are simply following the same playbook used by the so called Kenyan leaders who are stealing and plundering the country as if there’s no tomorrow
All this stinks to the high heavens and the good Lord sees it and is not happy, often leaving us to our own devices. Karma is real, folks, and we are suffering because of the very sins we are relentlessly committing against fellow human beings.

Stealing COVID-19 money is mass murder and those who stole it need to rot in Kamiti for the rest of their lives. Those people who stole from this man are heartless.

  4. If you surmise this is fake…
If you surmise this is fake news….you are wrong. Thats how sickly sickening Kenyans have become. The rob the dead, the sick, the dying, those asking for help, the hungry, the malnourished, and all other vulnerable citizens. The first Kenyans do when an accident occurs, is first empty all visible pockets and handbags. Sick we are to an extent of stealing Covid-19 funds supposed to help those infected by the bug. Out of 10 Kenyans, you will be lucky if you get one and a half good ones. Dishonesty, conmanship, fraud, and other social ills have placed us where we are now. Even when there is a surge in covid19 cases, pastors still insist you go to church. Its called greed, ukorofi, ulafi. Lord help us
