Kenyan ambassador to South Sudan Chris Karumba Mburu has died of a heart attack.
He collapsed and died at his residence in Juba, South Sudan on Sunday night, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Mburu, the former director of External Intelligence at the National Intelligence Service (NIS), was appointed to the diplomatic position by President Kenyatta in 2018.
In a message of condolence to family and friends, President Uhuru described the deceased as a great diplomat who endeavored to build strong ties between Kenya and South Sudan.
“Death has robbed us of a great public servant who served his country with distinction. Since his appointment as our envoy to Juba, Ambassador Mburu has worked hard to ensure the free flow of trade and investment between Kenya and South Sudan,” said Kenyatta.
He added: “Kenya has lost a brilliant public servant whose star was shining bright and whose service shall be dearly missed.”

Please take care of your…
Please take care of your health and check your blood pressure frequently. Blood pressure monitors are now easily affordable. If you know you are prone to high blood pressure, high cholesterol or clots then it’s good to have a personal doctor you can check in with often. Cut down on high cholesterol foods: animal products and eat more plant foods. Have good consistent sleep (6-8hrs), perform light exercises regularly and drink enough water about 1/2 ounce for every pound you weigh ( about 1 liter for every 30kg you weigh). My sincere condolences for his family.
