Kenyan gospel singer Kambua and her husband Pastor Jackson Mathu finally welcomed a child after seven years of waiting.
Kambua reportedly gave birth to a baby boy last month, according to her Bambika show co-host Holy Dave.
While breaking the news on their Bambika show on Citizen TV, Dave said the boy was named Nathaniel Muhoro Mathu.
Kambua, who struggled with infertility for years, flaunted her blossoming baby bump in May before taking a break from Bambika show.
In a past interview, the ‘Usiku Na Mchana’ hit-maker spoke about the pressure people put on her over her struggle to get a baby.
“…..the reason why it angers me is because people don’t even know what your journey is like. They don’t know what you’re struggling with. They don’t know if you even want to have children. They don’t know if you can have children and there are so many people especially today who are struggling with infertility.”
“It so unfortunate that we become such a culture of being so intrusive and putting people down. Shaming each other on things like that. I would wish that people would be sensitized. I have people who are close to me who might not be at the forefront like I am but who go through that every day,” she added.
Kambua and her husband are yet to go public about their latest blessing.
