Alliance for Real Change presidential contender Abduba Dida has bashed President Uhuru Kenyatta and opposition leader Raila Odinga over their ongoing rivalry.
Speaking during a press briefing in Nairobi on Monday, Dida said that President Uhuru Kenyatta needed a rehabilitation program for three months’ before being given another chance to govern the country.
“This is not being tribal or lacking respect…but please, if anyone loves Uhuru that much, let them take him to a rehab,” Dida said in a press conference on Monday.
Dida further took a swipe at National Super Alliance (NASA) presidential flag-bearer Raila Odinga who is currently pushing for the removal of several Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) officials and commissioners.
“Raila is an old man who has won a lot of respect. I want, however, to tell him to hold his horses. I know he loves and is addicted to teargas but please, if he really needs one at this moment, he can teargas himself in his house to spare us trouble,” Dida said.
The former Prime Minister has insisted the repeat presidential poll set to take place on October 26th will not happen, unless issues involving the IEBC are addressed.
Dida also joined ThirdWay Alliance presidential candidate Ekuru Aukot in demanding that the Electoral Commission include his name in the ballot for the fresh presidential election.
IEBC said only President Uhuru and Raila Odinga would be in the ballot for the repeat election, leaving out the other six candidates in the August 8th elections

We need courageous people like Ndugu (akhi) Abduba Dida who are honest enough to call a spade a spade. My definition of a friend is a person who has the enough courage to point out your strengths and address your weakness with the ultimate goal to achieve self improvement. You are lucky in the real world if you can have ONE true and genuine friend.
Thank you Ndugu Dida for speaking the truth about what you think Ndugu Uhuru needs at the moment. Ndugu Uhuru needs to go to a rehabilitation center until he is cured of his alcoholism and the smoking of marijuana.
Uhuru, do you have a true friend? When I saw you in one of the campaigns drinking publicly, I wondered where you friends were? When I saw you speaking incoherently when you were upset by the decision made by the supreme court, I again wondered why your friends did not tell you first to sober up before speaking in public while drank!
In conclusion, I challenge all the true Kenyan patriots to tell Raila and Uhuru that, it is time for them to quit politics. They are not indispensable.
