President Uhuru to Defeat Raila in First Round Voting, Latest CAP Opinion Poll Reveals

A newly released opinion poll indicates that assuming a voter turnout of 85 per cent, President Uhuru Kenyatta will clinch the presidency in the first round of voting against Raila Odinga by garnering 54 per cent of the total votes cast.

A survey conducted by the Centre for African Progress (CAP) between July 28th and August 1st shows that National Super Alliance presidential candidate Raila Odinga would garner 43 per cent of the presidential vote, CAP head of operations Abel Oyieyo explained on Wednesday.

“Three per cent of the people who responded were undecided or they preferred another candidate such as Abduba Dida and Ekuru Aukot. It is not really about campaigns at this point but about getting closer to elections and voters are making up their mind most of them thinking it’s either going to be Kenyatta or Odinga,” Oyieyo stated while releasing the finding at a Nairobi hotel.

9,995 respondents sampled across the country through a random multistage stratified methodology were interviewed, with President Kenyatta lead in Rift Valley and Eastern increasing significantly over the past few weeks.

“In nearly all the regions, the two leading candidates maintained their support where Raila maintained but the president’s support in Rift Valley has moved from 66 per cent in our previous opinion poll to 69 per cent – a shift of three per cent in the region,” Oyieyo said.

Kenyatta is leading in Central, North Eastern, and Eastern with approval ratings of 95, 64 and 61 per cent respectively.

The coast region is a battleground, with Odinga having a rating of 50 per cent over Uhuru’s 44 per cent.

Odinga and Kenyatta share the spoils at 52 and 47 per cent respectively in vote-rich Nairobi County.

    Notable Question:
How is this going to happen if Isaac Ruto and Lots of Kalenjin Rift Vallians or for NASA? Furthermore: How is this going to happen when “Intelligent Kalenjins KNOW that come 2022, Ruto will ONLY be a Hot Brick Dumped by Central Kenyans?” Huh?

It has been UHURU and RUTO that have been working hard to maintain the Peace in the Country. This is why they are going to come out victorious come 8/8/17.There can be nothing more important in Kenyan Politics than Peace. And Kenyans know it. Nasa leaders and NASA Politics have proven not to be responsible enough to safeguard this very valuable Peace in Kenya. That is why Kenyans are going to continue to Stick with UHURUTO for the sake of Peace and Stability in the Country.

” It has been UHURU and RUTO that have been working hard to maintain the Peace in the Country.”

Waswahili husema, “Akipenda chongo huona kengeza.” Kim, are you serious? The level of insecurity since your two friends took over the Kenyan leadership has been the worst since independence in 1963.

    6. Their silence and refusal to conduct an internal investigation and bring to arrest all the people involved in the 2007 – 2007 unnecessary loss of lives and property

Kim, why would you want them to be re-elected after making Kenya a very insecure place to live?

  7. Ojinga is my uncle and I can…
Ojinga is my uncle and I can NEVER vote for an inciter, liar and a political conman like him.
He has all along since the campaigns started lied about previous and current IEBC officials, rigging of the elections, gone against God’s command on married couples sex, lied about the involvement of the Kenya Defense Forces involvement in this election and incited our brothers and sisters in Kajiado against
selling their land to willing buyers just to mention a few. He is also dictatorial and a poor role model to our children.
He should interrogate himself on the matter of leaving Kibera residents worse than he found them after twenty years as area M.P.
Simply put it this way – My uncle would be a wrong resident in the house on the hill.
I urge all peace loving and development minded Kenyans to reject him at the ballot on 8/8/17.

  8. Facts:…
    Facts:

    1. Ndugu Mboya fought very hard for the Gikuyu people during the times of “emergency” and then he succeeded in lifting the restrictions imposed on them by the colonial government. On July 5, 1969 the same people he helped assassinated him.

    2. Had it not been for Jaramogi Oginga Odinga, Ndugu Kamau wa ngengi (Jomo Kenyatta) would not have been the first prime minister of Kenya. The gift he received from Kamau wa Ngengi was to ban KPU and imprison Oginga.

    3. Raila said, “Kibaki tosha” in 2002. The gift he received from Kibaki was “Uhuru Tosha” in 2013.

Conclusion: Asante ya punda ni mateke.”
