Little-Known School in Kisii Takes All 268 KCSE Candidates to University

A little-known Kisii-based school will have its entire Form Four class of 2020 join university after posting impressive results in the KCSE exam.

The results of the 2020 KCSE examination were released by Education Cabinet Secretary Prof. George Magoha on Monday.

All 268 candidates who sat for the national exam at Riokindo High School in Kisii County managed to attain the minimum university entry grade of C+.

The boy’s school posted a remarkable mean grade of 9.3333, with 17 candidates scoring A-, 99 with B+, 111 with B plain, 36 with B- while five got C+.

Nationally, a total of 143,140 students scored C+ and above in the 2020 KCSE exam.

Speaking while releasing the results at Mtihani House, CS Magoha assured all candidates that they will be absorbed into various tertiary institutions, including Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions.

 “All candidates have a place in our education story,” said CS Magoha.

    This is a red flag!!!. Something ain’t right!!!. Urgent investigation needed!!!. Kisii’s are well known for stealing KCSE exams and sharing it before National exam is conducted. It is a problem on for a long long time. Half of Kisii’s so called graduates hold fake degrees from India

        The score distribution in this school is normal. Teachers at this school did a lot of work to see the students through. The lack of “A” would convince anyone this was hard work on the part of students. They deserve all the accolades afforded to other top performing schools.
        Perhaps we should be asking ourselves how we can be more supportive of the schools which are just as capable of excelling as other top schools.

    Its unfortunate that this kind of success has to be greeted with suspicion.And rightly so given the nature,and history of cheating in exams that has pervaded our educational system for the last 10 years.

    Hello hello I know this is a Competent Boarding school when I was in Sameta high school 1992..the school has good environment isolation from town life..books books..Kudos Riokindo high school it was not easy to get admission if your scores were low..from std 8..no corruption or shortcurt to admission

    Thou I have few degrees n masters I want to state here just because ur going to urniversity doesn’t mean ur life is well sorted.Reminder that our empty leaders have this degrees n yet they remain the most useless citizens who cannot b able to make good laws or represent the common mwananchi.But am not saying no to degrees but we need to change our thinking n mind set to stop seeing or worship tooo much education in our heads yet once this kids comes from urniversity they become the most useless generation juu they choose Jobs especially if they cannot find their specialty.Am always for Going for skilled Jobs it’s the once selling out there even in the western world.From welding,plumbing,electrician,tiling,boiler,cooling n heating which 1-3 years u will have become the best.Otherwise u waste yr 4/5 years doing stupid degree n the jobs rnot available

Ni Siri kwamba hawa students wanajua wakumaliza tu secondary wanavuka mipaka na kutengeza maisha yao poa majuu? Je, ni siri kwamba hata bila hizo marks na hizo degrees OmoGusii anaweza chapa kazi aboreshe maisha yake hata zaidi? SIO SIRI. So baadala ya kugaa gaa na kuyumba yumba kama kuku anayetaka kutaga mayai na hizo stereotypes zenu, join me and other well- meaning Kenyans in congratulating these young men for such hard work.
