US Donates Medical Equipment to Kenyan Hospitals

The US has donated medical equipment worth millions of shillings to government hospitals in Kenya to help in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.

Five hospitals across the country will benefit from the personal protective equipment (PPE) valued at Sh7.9 million. The equipment includes N95 masks, surgical masks, coveralls, medical goggles, face shields, and pulse oximeters.

The five medical facilities are Kenyatta National Hospital (Nairobi), Coast Provincial General Hospital (Mombasa), Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital (Kisumu), Nakuru County Referral Hospital (Nakuru), and Bondo Sub-County Referral Hospital (Siaya).

The hospitals are playing an important role in the treatment and management of Covid-19 patients in the country.

The donation funded by the US Africa Command (Africom) was handed over to the Health Ministry by the US Ambassador to Kenya Kyle McCarter during a ceremony held at Kenyatta National Hospital on Thursday.

“The United States donates more than any other country to help Kenya’s health needs with over Sh60 billion every year,” said Ambassador McCarter.

“This Sh7.9 million donation of critically needed protective equipment is in addition to over Sh5 billion in support from the US in the last three months alone directly for Kenya’s response to and recovery from Covid-19. USA Marafiki means we are proud to help build the health care capacity of counties and to support Kenya’s health care workers on the front lines of the battle against this virus.”

They already have a list of Failed medical experiments ( Tuskegee experiments) like this one from Meru county????????, they probably want more of the same.

      >>>> The Kenya Medical Research Institute (Kemri) is investigating the high prevalence of cancer in Riaki and Kiegoi villages in Igembe South, Meru County.

This follows a report by the Nation last month highlighting the plight of residents in the two areas that are emerging as ‘cancer villages’.

The spot check by the Nation established there were more than 10 people suffering from cancer or who had died of cancer in Riaki.

      CANCER RESEARCH

A team of scientists from Kemri and county officials led by Dr Evans Amukoye, the chief research officer at Kemri, are on a two-day fact-finding mission in Meru.

Speaking after visiting various homesteads and a water source in Riaki village, Dr Amukoye said the fact-finding mission had established a need for research into the causes of cancer in the area.

“We have confirmed that there are many cases of cancer in this village. What we have noted is that there are many cases of tongue cancer. We are concerned that many patients are less than 40 years old. We will come back soon to conduct a research,” he said.

Dr Amukoye said locals had raised concerns over the water they drink, which they suspect was contaminated by meteorite and colonial bombs as well as asbestos roofing materials.

“When we come to do the research, we will study the soil, food and other diseases that are common in these villages. We will also need to do a gene analysis to establish whether the cancers are genetic,” the researcher said.

    Health Cabinet Secretary…

    >>>
Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe on Thursday confirmed that detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) have opened an investigation into claims that blood donated by Kenyans was being sold abroad.

This revelation comes amid reports that Kenya has inadequate capacity to screen and store donated blood.

Mr Kagwe accused cartels at MoH of draining Kenyan blood banks and officials from the Kenya National Blood Transfusion Service (KNBTS) of creating an artificial blood shortage.

The CS said that the DCI will investigate claims of sale of blood to Somalia.

According to reports, the blood is mostly sold in neighbouring Somalia by a cartel comprising officers from the KNBTS, which is under the Ministry of Health.<<<

  3. The American government and…
The American government and its allies (especially the British “ the sun is always setting on them” government ) need to account for all the loans and donations given to the Kenyan government.

    Same goes to China.

They have been setting everyone around the world to be killed. There are the sponsors of terror and crime in Kenya.

    1. How much of your vaccinations donations and Eurobond loans are in the hands of Al shabab??
    2. How much of China loans are in the hands of Al shabab and other local gangs in Kenya?

    We want secession.

    • Why do we always want to…
Why do we always want to blame others when we ourselves are so corrupt and cannot even keep our own homes. The west did what? Yes we allowed them. But now we have the power to take care of us but we still look for someone to help with our hand out. THEN BEING SO UNAPPRECIATIVE have the nerve to insult the hand that “feeds you” bure! wachini ujinga na utoto. 5. No more grants, no more…
No more grants, no more donations, no more help. 400 years of slavery are over. Even a child is helped 18 years after which they help themselves because they are fully grown and can take care of themselves. The world is changing and no more dependency will go on. Even our God and our ancestors are saying No. Judgment is on the whole world. No more occupation in the name of investors and tourists. The world is changing permanently. Let us keep watching God’s Masterplan unfold.

  6. Thanks Uncle Sam! Though…
Thanks Uncle Sam! Though most of the donations will be stolen and stashed in some foreign account.
