Miguna Miguna Reacts to Former US President Barack Obama's 'Hyped' Homecoming

Deported lawyer Miguna Miguna has reacted to the manner in which former United States President Barack Obama is being welcomed to Kenya.

Taking to micro-blogging site, Twitter, the self-declared National Resistance Movement (NRM) general hit out at Kenyan politicians and media for according Obama a ‘warm reception.’

The firebrand lawyer questioned why the politicians and the media have invested much time in welcoming Obama, a foreigner, while they supported his deportation, despite being a Kenyan by birth.

“Welcome HOME, @BarackObama,” obtuse Kenyan politicians and their compromised media shout. The same irrational noisemakers are yelling about “Homecoming for Obama” who was born in Hawaii and has no Kenyan citizenship or National Identity card, yet they claim I’m a foreigner,” Miguna wrote on Twitter on Saturday.

Obama is set to land in Kenya on Sunday evening before heading to his ancestral village, Kogelo in Siaya county the following day, where he will launch projects undertaken by Sauti Kuu Foundation, which was founded by his Sister Auma.

He will hold talks with President Uhuru Kenyatta at the State House in Nairobi before flying to Siaya.
