Miguna Miguna Reacts to Reports that He Has Been Blacklisted from Traveling to Kenya

Self-declared National Resistance Movement (NRM) general Miguna Miguna has reacted to reports that he has been blacklisted from traveling to Kenya by international airlines operating in the country.

A bulletin reportedly shared to the staffs of Qatar Airways said that Miguna had been blacklisted from using the airline to fly to Kenya as instructed by the Kenyan Immigration authorities.

“Per the update received from the Kenyan Immigration authorities, the below customer is not permitted to enter Kenya and has been blacklisted by the Kenyan authorities, ” the notice reads and goes further to state Miguna’s name and passport number.

“Staff to be vigilant and ensure the above customer is not accepted to travel on any flights to Kenya,” the notice by Qatar Airways further reads.

The order came barely a week after the fiery lawyer was nominated as Nairobi Deputy Governor by Governor Mike Sonko.  However, taking to Twitter, the firebrand politician termed the reports as defamatory and that he he had instructed his legal team to establish the authenticity of the orders.

“I’ve seen a DEFAMATORY “Bulletin” ALLEGEDLY from QATAR AIRWAYS claiming that the “Kenya Airport authorities” [sic], has banned me from “entering Kenya.” I’ve not been duly served with any such “notice.” I’ve instructed my advocates to establish its authenticity and deal with it,” Miguna stated.

Miguna was scheduled to return to Kenya on May 16th, but cancelled the trip citing refusal by the State to issue him a Kenyan passport as ordered by the court.

“I was determined to arrive home on schedule, however, just before my departure, I reluctantly cancelled my flight to Nairobi and postponed my next arrival date,” said Miguna in a statement on May 16th.

“In view of the refusal by the Department of Immigration to issue me with a valid Kenyan passport and facilitate my unconditional re-entry into Kenya as ordered by the High Court and formally requested by the Kenya National Commission for Human Rights on my behalf, and on advice from legal counsel, I have instructed my advocates to immediately bring to the attention of the court the continued willful contempt of its orders.”

Mr. Miguna Miguna, let me remind you that you are not a Kenyan and therefore the Kenyan government does not owe you any explanation. In fact, in the eyes of many Kenyans you are nothing but a terrorist that is responsible for many deaths through your incitements. You are a proud Canadian. Deal with Canadian issues first. Canada has many issues you can help address!!!. Many unsatisfied Canadians would welcome you if formed an NRM army in Canada. Which would carry more weight and prestige, a General in Kenya’s NRM or a General in Canada’s NRM? Certainly a General in Canada’s NRM would. You would be a General in a super country. You would be recognized all over the World. Be Smart Miguna, think outside the box!!!
