Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi now says that Miguna Miguna is to blame for his woes at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) two weeks ago.
In an interview with a local TV on Sunday, Mudavadi said that the self-declared National Resistance Movement (NRM) general dug his own grave by refusing to comply with airport clearance procedures at the JKIA.
He said that Miguna should have followed the rules, but insisted that the government should also have employed alternative means to handle the fiery lawyer.
“I have told you, whether he was treated humanely or not, the bottom line is he should have followed the due process,” Said Mudavadi.
“When travelling through the airport, everybody is taken through a security process. One is required to even remove their belts, shoes and the checks are done. Also, when coming back, you produce your travel documents for stamping,” he added.
In an article published by the Star in the weekend, Sarah Elderkin, a confidant of Opposition leader Raila Odinga said the government didn’t err in kicking Miguna out of the country, stating that the ‘general’ was the one on the wrong side of the law.
“In the matter of Miguna and his immigration status, Matiang’i is correct. You cannot allow entry into Kenya of a foreign citizen without the appropriate documents. Miguna is completely in the wrong according to the law, as well as under international citizenship conventions,” she added.
“Miguna flew into Nairobi airport on March 26, well knowing what was ahead of him, and what he had planned. He knew that any Kenyan passport he had was issued illegally, likewise any Kenyan ID card,” she said.
“Nothing about Miguna’s demeanour – charming or furious – is accidental. Everything with Miguna is an act. And he will do whatever it takes to get what he wants,” wrote Elderkin.
This lunatic, loser Canadian…
This lunatic, loser Canadian dotard should be put in jail next time he tries to enter Kenya without a valid Kenyan Visa. How many times does he want to be reminded he is not a Kenyan? We know he has mental issues but even retards understand things like citizenship.
