Kisumu Governor Professor Anyang’ Nyong’o has undergone a successful hip bone surgery in the United States.
The Governor, who has been receiving treatment in the US for past few weeks on Saturday confirmed he was doing well following the delicate medical procedure.
Nyong’o further took a swipe at a section of Kisumu politicians using his health status to perpetual succession politics, stating that he is aware of “godforsaken individuals who are writing his obituary at home”.
“I feel quite good about myself though I miss home very much. But the kind of things people say behind your back when you are going through such an ordeal can prove very heartless.”
“At times, this can be extremely annoying and upsetting, especially when political busybodies reduce,” he said.
“This is done in words that are insincere, dishonest, callous and absolutely uncivilised,” he added.
The Governor underwent a 90-minute surgery at a hospital in the US, which involved a replacement of his bone with an artificial one.
“Currently, I am on outpatient care involving nursing care, physiotherapy, occupational therapy and weekly visits to the doctor to examine progress made.”
“As soon as the doctor certifies me fit for travel, I will be heading home to join the gallant people of Kisumu in building the county, and the NASA compatriots in the struggle for electoral justice,” he said.

I can only assume your dear constituents can afford to have a similar operation at Kisumu General hospital since you are their employee and they are your employer. Oh and the nursing care you are getting in the US should be the same as that in Kisumu so that withstanding the nurses wages in Kisumu should be comparable I guess.get well soon.

We hope you and all those parliamentarians start believing in our Doctors and if you don’t,you should start explaining why so we can we can all find another education system for our Doctors that will give us what we need.
