Uhuru Meets Retired President Daniel Moi

President Uhuru Kenyatta on Sunday paid retired President Daniel Toroitich Arap Moi a visit at his Kabarak home in Nakuru County.

“I visited and had lunch with Former President Daniel Toroitich Arap Moi in Kabarak, Nakuru,” Uhuru tweeted on Sunday.

Moi is considered to be President Uhuru’s political mentor after publicly endorsing him 2002 presidential bid in a KANU party ticket.

Also present during the meeting was Baringo Senator Gideon Moi, who has expressed interest in succeeding President Uhuru when he retires in 2022. Full details of what was discussed in the meeting are yet to be made public.

The President’s visit comes a day before Supreme Court Judges deliver their judgement on two petitions seeking to invalidate his October 26th victory.

The hearings of the two petitions concluded on Thursday evening after petitioners, respondents and interested parties made their oral submissions before the six judges.

Chief Justice David Maraga, his deputy Philomena Mwilu and justices Njoki Ndung’u, Jackton Ojwang, Smoking Wanjala and Isaac Lenaola presided over the hearings of the two petitions.

The first petition was filed by former Kilome MP Harun Mwau, while the second was lodged by members of civil society, Njonjo Mue and Khelef Khalifa.

From your posts, I can openly say that you belong to the Kenyan terrorist organization know as “Mungiki.”
Your days are numbered. You will have to answer for the lives you prematurely terminated in Nakuru, Naivasha, and Limuru in 2007-08. Your ring leader will be taken back to Hague again and this time for good!

As our Arabic brothers and sisters say, “Haramii arobain.” In Kiswahili, “Siku za mwizi arobaini.”

You are a member of the new Kenyan colonialists. Shame on you my lost brother! You are Lost beyond redemption!

  2. You people writing all this…
You people writing all this crap about this group that group, do you ever think of the long effects of the current political instability. 1) In 10 to 20 years down the road your son’s or daughters will say;do you recall what so and so group from such and such area did to us.
    2) The country has a Debt of 05 Trillion Dollars plus accrued interest. Who will repay this dept. Bro, don’t be taken for a ride!

  3. Paying homage to your mentor…
Paying homage to your mentor is wise; they always have insights and your blind spots is as clear as the palms of their hand-after all Moi is the professor of politics! It is quite refreshing to sit with a mentor who tells you as-is, without mincing words, without sycophantic lies and without diatribes.
Leaders who have no mentors are attracted to errors of self-sabotage as a moth is attracted to light. Even at a retail level, beware of a man/woman who has no mentor, no elderly friend, no enemies and no emotions.

  4. When all Kenyans will honor…
When all Kenyans will honor and respect the words contained in our national anthem, peace, stability, fairness in the key job allocations, and respect will prevail in our beautiful land of Kenya.

In our New Republic of Kenya, we will meet together as equals and share the fruit of our labor as one nation. Insults will be a thing of the past although disagreements will always exist wherever human beings meet.

Na tukae na udugu amani na uhuru
    Raha tupate na ustawi.”

  6. @ Imara – You write – “Uhuru…
@ Imara – You write – “Uhuru, you owe the people of Kenya an apology for your associations with dictator Toroitich!” – For your information,I am a Kenyan and Uhuru does not owe me an apology. He is a straight forward and honest leader unlike my uncle the inciter and murderer Ojinga who doubles as the Joseph Kony of Kenya and head of the guerilla Nyanza Resistant Movement.

  7. Why go and visit a former…
Why go and visit a former president who ruined this country. You should be at home taking stock of what you and the wife will carry with you from Statehouse should Maraga send you on early retirement again.

  8. Here we go again. As Uhuru…
Here we go again. As Uhuru said once – “unanifwata mimi sio bibi yako!”, Check that, and leave Uhuru alone!

  9. Uhuru, please visit and talk…
Uhuru, please visit and talk to Mwai Kibaki! Not Toroitich the engineer of the torture and deadly rooms of the dreaded Nyayo House. Uhuru, you owe the people of Kenya an apology for your associations with dictator Toroitich!
