Death Announcement for Doris "Chero" Cherotich Chemirmir Akpom of Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas

It is with deep grief that the Dallas/Forth Worth community is mourning the death of Doris "Chero" Cherotich Chemirmir Akpom of Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas.

She leaves behind her loving husband, Mr.Okey Akpom and their 3 children: Alex, Brandon and Chuka. Her Parents are the Late Samson Chemirmir and Judy Chemirmir. She was sister to Jep Muraya, Susan, David, Patrick, The Late Stella, Oscar, and Ernest. Sister in law to Syed, Faith, and Trudy. Niece to Grace and Mercy among others.

Unfortunately, her battle with cancer was lost as the Lord had seen it fit to allow her to bow out and rest.

Following her death, we humbly post the following time line of events as we seek your moral, financial and spiritual support:

Funeral Celebration Fundraiser: Saturday, November 18th at 6pm: Upendo Baptist Church, 916 N Jupiter Rd, Garland TX 75042
Visitation/Viewing: Thursday, Nov 30th 4pm - 8pm & Friday, Dec 1st. 2pm-6pm (Rolling Oaks Memorial Center, 400 S Freeport Pkwy, Coppell TX, 75019)
Wake Keeping: December 1st, from 10pm at Star Banquet & Event Center, 2722 W Irving Blvd, Irving TX 75061
Funeral Service: December 2nd. 3pm at the Episcopal Church Of Annunciation, 602 N Old Orchard Ln, Lewisville TX 75077
Burial: Follows immediately after Funeral service @ Rolling Oaks Memorial Center, 400 S Freeport Pkwy, Coppell TX, 75019)*

I was shown this beautiful courageous woman by my dear sister Leslie sang. She is my best friend and I can't wait to go to Kenya sometime with her and Meet a wonderful mother. You see God puts people in the right places. Ive lost my faith due to cancer and an atheist spouse. This woman has my Aunt Doris Name. Long story short I'm grateful to see this article and learn God has given me a rough life. But I have a beautiful African American son. He is my world. My oldest son Damien. Jacob is my adopted son. I will cherish him always. Cancer was tough on me. But I learned true life lessons.
