US Commits to Protect the Rights of the Kenyan LGBTQ Community

United States Ambassador to Kenya Meg Whitman has said her country will continue to support the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) community in Kenya.

In a post on Twitter on Tuesday, Whitman said she met with the LGBTQI community and stakeholders in the past week, adding that the US is actively championing the recognition and rights of gay people.

“Over the past week, my team and I met with the LGBTQI+ community & stakeholders to support human rights of LGBTQI+ persons,” said Whitman.

She added: “The U.S. proudly advances efforts to protect LGBTQI+ persons from discrimination & violence and will continue to stand up for human rights & equality.”

Whitman’s tweet comes barely two weeks after she distanced the US from accusations of promoting and forcing the LGBTQ agenda in the country following the Supreme Court ruling allowing the registration of lobby groups for LGBTQ persons in Kenya.

The ambassador denied any links between the Sh16 billion drought relief donations to Kenya by the US and the controversial Supreme Court verdict on same-sex rights.

“Countries have their differences, we have a very strong working relationship of many years and I think the Kenyan government probably knows the US perceptive, in fact I know they do, but we also respect Kenya’s rights on this particular issue,” she said.

“I want to underscore that there is absolutely no linkage at all between the food and drought relief and Kenyan’s stance on LGBTQ.”

The pertinent section starts at 1hr.3minutes mark. This information is for those who say that there is no homosexuality in the wild animal kingdom.Note that male giraffes engage in homosexual behavior 94% of the time. And that the sexual behavior of human being is exhibited in some form in the animal kingdom. The deduction here is obvious;therefore it happens in human being as well, and that’s the natural behaviour of all animals;human beings included.
I always try to look at human behaviour through the scientific lenses, mindful that nature, and nurture shapes our behaviours. And the dominant ,and usually the powerful”group” tends to impose their influence on the less powerful.
Again, there has always existed about 10% of homosexuals in every known human society.Given this, there is no way they can “overrun” the 90% of heterosexuals. But since we live in same societies, its just common sense, and fair that we treat gays like any other human being. They should have legal rights to do anthing a heterosesual being has the right to do.I dont see any problem with that.Do you?
I think we can all agree that their is more to a human being than their sexual preference. And I personally dont see anything special about heterosexuals, and their sexuality. If you ask me, I would say sex between man and woman is gross.Just think about it. Is it not disgusting to see your father humping, and puffing on top of your mother, and then rolling over in exhauting after groaning and granting? Probably sex in any form is disgusting.Truth be told, the only reason heterosexuals engage in sex is because of the sexual arousal. So if gays are aroused by certain’attributes’,who are you to tell them what is right for them?So live and let live.We as asociety have bigger problems than looking for where to jack off,and with whom. This should be the least of our problems in light of high cost of living, crime, rape, unemployment, corruption, cheating, prostitution, scamming, dirty politics…ect.Where did I go wrong?Do NOT attack me; attact my ideas.Let’s have a civil intercourse.
@ Ombote,I support that you be treated like a human being, with full rights to pursue happiness the way you see fit within the legal limits.’Forget’ cultural limits. They are full of hypocricy.People tend to subjctively site culture when it suits them. That’s not SCIENCE.Science is constant.True science as opposed to the Pseudo one that bigots use.

    • @Maxiley: Wow! Thank you…
@Maxiley: Wow! Thank you. This is the best and emotional comment I’ve seen in this platform. I know there are more out there who support the LGBTQ community but fear showing it out.

It’s not by choice that I’m aroused when having sex with the man. But that is something that I was born with. It’s not a light switch that I can flip and change my sex orientation.

Research has shown that 64% of our previous lifetimes’ traits are carried thru to the next lifetime. For example, if you have existed previously more times as a man, and it happens that you were born as a woman, you will exhibit masculine traits and vice-versa. Off course the church is against reincarnation too, so don’t expect to here that from them.

I would recommend people to watch the attached eye opener video.

      • @ Ombote,I understand that…
@ Ombote,I understand that people are always afraid of”upsetting the apple cart”…
Consider this; despite the scientific consensus that human beings are more alike than unlike, bigots, racists, and people who disctiminate do not see it that way.Human beings tend to discriminate against people who”do not look or act like them”.You will note that this is usually driven by fear.Fear of letting go of what you think is the “right” way. Yes, some people are afraid of interacial unions because it would destroy their homogeneity. But if we go past this unfounded fear,we can do alot to improve the welfare of humanity. It has taken years, but some of these fears are being eroded. Thanks to SCIENCE more so that to religion.
There is a reason why the West is generally more receptive to gay people. It is because they are more “enlightened” scientifically.Meaning they are more open minded to accept ideas that are fair to humanity despite our differences.

      • I think we would be alot…
I think we would be alot happier as human beings if we let science be our guide.@ Max.

@Maxiley & Guest. Thank you guys! Before the existence of any religion, there was science.

  4. Kenyan and other countries…
Kenyan and other countries should counter this Western agenda with polygamy and the rights of polygamy minded individuals. That is going to help the Westerners understand the true meaning of the rights they are singing to us about like homosexuality is food. Bure kabisa!
