Land Title Searches in Kenya Will Be Conducted Free of Charge, Announces Gov't

The Kenyan Cabinet, chaired by President Uhuru Kenyatta, on Thursday issued a directive that waives fees for land title searches in the country.

The directive is meant to ease the cost of doing business in Kenya as promised by President Kenyatta.

The Ministry of Lands is also in the middle of digitizing land registries, a move expected to speed up land transactions and reduce fraud.
