Death Announcement: Steven Mwangi Kubai of San Diego, California

It is with acceptance of God’s will that we announce with heavy hearts the passing of our beloved Steve M. Kubai on June 20, 2022, after glioblastoma (brain cancer) illness.

Steve is preceded in death by his mother Lucy Waithera Kubai, and his stepfather late Hon. Fred Kubai.  He was devoted husband to Elizabeth Gathoni Mwangi, and loving father to Tony Mwangi. He was loving brother to Christopher Maina (late), Betty Kubai Kala, Gideon Kubai (late), Esther Mwaura, and Peter Gitau; he was stepbrother to Gideon Blacklaw Kubai, Mugo Kubai (late), Helen Kubai, Sally Kubai, Mary Kubai, and Betty Mwihaki Kubai, among others. He was cherished nephew of Nancy Wanjiku Mwangi. Steve was beloved son-in law to Rhoda Njeri Muiruri.
