Death Announcement for Peter Mwangi Mwaura (Wandekei) of Monmouth Junction, New Jersey

Peter Mwangi Mwaura (Wandekei) 77, of Monmouth Junction, New Jersey‬‬‬, died on Monday April 24th, 2017 at Saint Peter's Hospital in New Brunswick surrounded by his loving family. Born in Kagiko, Kenya, he migrated to the US in 1995 where he resided in Jersey City, Cliffside Park, prior to Monmouth Junction. Peter retired from Federated Logistics in 2006 after 11 years of service.

Son of the Late Miriam Wangari and Late Joel Mwaura Kamau, Peter is survived by his wife Florence Njeri, and siblings Priscilla Wambui Ngugi, Jane Muthoni, Joseph Kaniu, Anthony Wanyoike, Anne Nyambura Muhoro and Laura Wanjiru Macharia.  He was father to Catherine, Shiru, late Patrick Kageche, David, Susan (Wambui), Stella and Elizabeth and had many nieces and nephews. His grandchildren include Patrick Mwangi and Dennis Mwangi among many others. Peter was a friend, mentor, uncle and dad to many and will be missed.

The memorial service will be held at the M J Murphy Funeral Home 616 Ridge Road, Monmouth Junction with Deacon Jim officiating ‪at 6pm April 29th, 2017‬‬‬. Visitation and viewing will take place ‪from 4-6pm‬‬‬.

His final resting place will be at the Family Burial site in Kagiko, Kandara, Murang'a County in Kenya ‪on May 5th‬‬‬, 2017.

Friends and family are meeting daily for prayers at 40 Tanglewood Court, Monmouth Junction, NJ.
