Political scientist Mutahi Ngunyi has referred to President William Ruto as the next Robert Mugabe in Africa’s political scene.
The political analyst took to Twitter with a tweet that said Ruto is the next Mugabe in African diplomacy. Mutahi said that Ruto’s speech while addressing the African Union parliament displayed him as daring. He added that Ruto’s hustler ideology reflected the frankness and purity in the political journeys of Sankara, Lumumba, and Nkruma.
“Like him or hate him, Ruto is the next Mugabe in African diplomacy- in a nice way. His Hustler diplomacy reminds me of the frankness and purity of our liberators, Sankara, Lumumba, and Nkruma. May he survive the vice of colonisers,” he said.
While speaking at the Pan-African Parliament Summit, Ruto complained that African leaders are denied platforms to address African issues. He added that the West during global summits gives African leaders only a few minutes to address issues. He decried that after speaking for a few minutes, African leaders are arranged for a photo session after which they return back home.
“While we are invited to those summits, we are given limited time, then aligned, all over 50 of us, for photos, and unfortunately that’s the only thing we go back home with,” he said.
Ruto has reiterated that global summits should engage African leaders on a deeper level and not just parade them for photos and ornate dinner sessions.
Mutahi, you said he’ll never…
Mutahi, you said he’ll never be president, unfortunately or to some, fortunately he is. You said Raila will win this thing and you gave us all the silly data you had, he did not. Instead of making yourself relevant and always in the news, my advice to you is maybe look for something else to do. This guy will bee prez for 10 years, and unfortunately so is Rigathi. This thing has been baked, or settled by this two thugs, whether you like it or not. This are Moi’s loyal students—corruption, power hungry etc. But for you Mutahi, it’s time to call it a day and find something else to do. Unfortunately as loud as your mouth was, they never heard or cared about what you said. Accept defeat and fund a career in this government. Na kwa hayo machache I rest my case

This criminal always trying to be relevant by making outrageous claims about outlandish untruths!!! The thief
If Ruto expects wazungus to…
If Ruto expects wazungus to accept black people, especially Africans as equals, he will die a very disappointed man.
@Mama Akinyi I guess you…
@Mama Akinyi I guess you didn’t get what Ruto meant. Anyway African leaders should parade themselves in Africa and solve their own issues. Ni nini Wana Africa hawana kwenye nchi zao?
Whey can’t they hold their…
Whey can’t they hold their own summits and talk all they want? Who deny them plantforms in Africa to adress african issues? Africans need actions not talks Shenzi.
People like Ruto who loot…
People like Ruto who loot their own countries and kill their own (2008 pev)for political ambitions should be the last to expect respect from anyone.
What of substance do African…
What of substance do African leaders have so that they can be allocated enough time on global stage to address the world?
Who wants to listen to them
Back in their home countries they struggle to get audience
They go to the extend of buying and bribing folks to attend to their mediocre public speeches
If they can kill corruption, steer world class economies and take leadership in new scientific and technological inventions, the world will scramble for their attention and they will not need to cry like babies as they seek attention
Africa must sit down and…
Africa must sit down and work together for their interest. They have all the resources they need. They must know the West and Asia didn’t rely on outside help to develop to first world status. That’s precedent
