The bodies of a family of five, including a man, a woman and three kids were on Saturday exhumed from one of the Shakahola graves in Kilifi County.
The five were among 14 bodies dug out of shallow graves discovered on a vast land believed to be owned by controversial Pastor Paul Mackenzie, who is linked to the ‘Jangwani’ cult.
Saturday’s exhumation brought the total number of bodies dug out to 21. The victims are suspected to have fast to death on instructions of Pastor Mackenzie in order to “meet God.”
On Friday, forensic detectives exhumed the bodies of seven people from two of the 58 shallow graves identified by police in the 800-acre parcel of land in Shakahola.
Pastor Mackenzie was arrested last week in connection with the deaths of his followers, who are said to have died after going for several days without food or water.
Malindi Chief Magistrate Elizabeth Usui on Monday ordered the detention of Pastor Mackenzie for 14 days pending investigations.
Despite Mackenzie’s Good News International Church being shut down in 2019, the preacher has continued to attract the masses through his preaching of the ‘end times and fasting to go to heaven.’
Wait, do no one was asking…

Religion brings out the best…
Religion brings out the best and worst in people.Religion.It’s a curse for some people. It’s a salvation for others.I just don’t understand. How can any pastor sit and watch their followers go through that. That is the worst horror here. Poor believers deserved much better
All foreign based religions…
All foreign based religions in Kenya and COHO (Continent Of Human Origins) should be outlawed and shut permanently while all the blind followers are directed to go to counseling.
Read Matthew 6: 6-8
6 But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. 7 And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. 8 Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.
GUESS WHO SAID THE ABOVE SENTENCES? The late Son Of Mariam. Going to churches to pray is a direct insult to the founder of this religion whose followers participated in human trafficking a.k.a. slavery.
Politics and religions should not be mixed. Where was Rigathi and Samoei when all the people died in Malindi?
