President Kenyatta is scheduled to deliver this year’s State of the Nation Address on April 4th.
Kenyatta will deliver a speech on the state of the nation before a joint sitting of the National Assembly and Senate at the main chambers.
In a statement, Parliament says the address is in pursuant to Article 132(1)(b) of the Constitution which empowers the President to perform such a function.
Kenyatta’s speech is expected to focus on the progress of the implementation of his Big Four Action Plan.
Under the plan, Kenyatta seeks to deliver on four key areas including food security, affordable housing, manufacturing, and universal healthcare.
He is also expected to give a brief on the renewed fight against corruption, the economy, devolution, and national unity.
The State of the Nation address is an annual constitutional requirement where the President outlines the progress made in the realization of the national values.

The boy in statehouse will once again engage in PR and gimmicks. The big faux is stuck tight where it started I’m sorry to say. Corruption on the other hand is in fifth gear. People are starving to death in Turkana and the ones elsewhere are struggling to afford food. Manufacturing is down 30% and UHC exists only in his speeches as doctors and nurses are forced to strike over unpaid benefits. He is by far the worst president Kenya has ever had. Bure kabisa
He shouldn’t address…
He shouldn’t address anything else but CORRUPTION and NEPOTISM. If these 2 can be dealt with everything else will fall in place and in the right direction. Corruption, corruption, corruption!
Uhuru, give those facing…
Uhuru, give those facing starvation food to eat and enact policies along with the thuggery parliament to stop this. Don’t bog us down with food security crap while people are dying. Go take some food and CLEAN water.
Fight corruption. Done!
Anything else ati Big Four Agenda-nobody cares, nobody is interested and nobody is thinking about it.
