King Kaka and Nana Owiti Announce Separation After 13 Years Together

Kenyan rapper King Kaka announced his separation from long-term partner Nana Owiti on Tuesday, describing the decision as the result of careful consideration.

The couple, who has been together for over 13 years and share three children, expressed their surprise at needing to release a public statement regarding their relationship. In his announcement shared via social media platform X, King Kaka acknowledges the complexities of life that can lead to such changes, stating, "Life happens."

He emphasizes the importance of the memories they created together, underlining that, despite their romantic split, their commitment to their children remains paramount. King Kaka and Nana Owiti highlight their desire for privacy during this transition, reiterating that their decision to part ways was not made lightly.

The rapper states that they aspire to maintain a respectful and supportive relationship moving forward, focused on co-parenting their children with the love and stability they deserve. Earlier this year, King Kaka addressed persistent rumours regarding a potential separation from his wife. The speculation intensified as Owiti, an avid Arsenal supporter, was frequently seen enjoying the soccer scene in the UK and sharing her experiences on social media, leading some to allege that she had left their marital home with their children.

King Kaka's Mother’s Day tribute, which notably excluded any mention of Owiti, further fueled the gossip. However, he firmly denied any suggestions that he might exploit family matters for promotional purposes related to his then-upcoming film series, ‘Monkey Business,’ which premiered on May 17, 2024.
